My Background
– Knowing How To Dare –
I work as an intercultural trainer and coach, specialising in Scandinavia.
At the age of 45, I took a Management Responsibility training course at HEC in Jouy en Josas France, then dared to launch myself into the world of entrepreneurship by creating my own intercultural training and coaching company ‘ABILDGAARD’ in 2008, in addition to my university degree I obtained in France in Applied Foreign Languages, with 5 languages mastered.
Previously, I ran an intercultural training service in Paris, held the positions of Director and Head of International Communications and Marketing, and have 30 years’ experience in helping companies sign up new international markets.
– Firmly Positive –
My expertise in intercultural management and executive coaching, as well as my resolutely positive vision, help major companies to work together more effectively and break down barriers. As an interculturalist, I now share my expertise with Scandinavian and French companies.
I think my positive attitude comes in useful when I share my vision of happiness in business – and why not! And shows the way towards a possible and positive international collaboration.
– Of Danish Origin And French Adoption –
I have lived and worked in France for 41 years. After working as an international marketing manager for 18 years, I immersed myself in cultural diversity and decided to become its spokesperson for the companies I work with.
My clients are mainly Scandinavian and French companies and major intercultural training organisations in Paris, London and Scandinavia.
Enriched by a long international career and the many encounters with people along the way, I share this knowledge as an intercultural specialist in Franco-Scandinavian relations – Denmark, Sweden, Norway.
– Open To The World –
On a professional level, I had the honour of being elected by the European Commission as one of the 100 Female Ambassadors of Entrepreneurship (FAME), and I have given talks all over Europe to share my experience as a European entrepreneur.
Internationally, I share my time between France, Limoges and Paris, London and Copenhagen, and frequently go on assignment to Oslo and Stockholm.
The Scandinavian market represents a great opportunity for French companies. The country’s 20 million inhabitants are very keen on French products. French products and know-how enjoy an excellent reputation. But cultural differences can be an obstacle to smooth collaboration or successful intercultural mobility. This is where I come in.
– Nature And Wine –
In order to prepare myself for multiple interventions, I recharge my batteries with nature and the sea. I draw strength from my roots and my environment, and nature nourishes me deeply.
My childhood shaped my love of nature. Born 10 km north of Copenhagen, our family outings were always surrounded by nature. It is a way for me to feel calm and fit.
On a personal level, I am passionate about wine from all over the world and I am certified as a sommelier-caviste in Bordeaux in wine tasting, using an intuitive and geo-sensory approach. When my time allows, I travel to visit vineyards and taste wine from all over the world.
I have just signed up to perfect my knowledge this autumn and obtain a new diploma in world wines.
– Method And Animation –
I use interactive facilitation in the form of role-playing and interactive quizzes, group work and personal development.
When I am working, I make a point of listening carefully to my clients and then transforming their requests into quality training. We succeed together.
My universal, intercultural background has given me the strength to overcome anything, and to put myself within reach of the people I coach, guiding managers and senior executives towards a positive cultural future.
To date, I have trained and coached over 6,000 people from French and Scandinavian companies.
