Intercultural Coaching

Personalised support for executives and senior managers working in an intercultural context

At a crossroads in your professional life, you need a little help to move forward.

Stress, an environmental crisis, unemployment, being laid off, a change in management, expatriation or merger – there are many reasons for stress for employees and employers alike.

When we talk about coaching, on the one hand we have the employee’s desire to feel better and to be supported in taking on new responsibilities, and on the other hand we have the HR department’s desire to offer help and support to the employee to help them take on a new job and a new challenge.

What is your status?

Are you working for a Scandinavian company based in France?

Do you currently feel stuck in the middle of your career and do not understand why?

Would you like to improve your individual skills and better understand your motivations, as well as the obstacles?

Would you like to interact with an intercultural coach to move forward?

I can help you understand why your work or personal situation is blocked and what needs to be done to unblock it so that you can move forward.

Help you to analyse and better understand yourself and your life, both professional and personal.

The companies which have been supported have seen an average return on investment of 5.7 times the amount invested in coaching, and improvements in the following areas:

Productivity

Organisational performance

Increased results

Life balance

Working relationship with the manager

Teamwork

Working relationships between colleagues

Job satisfaction

Managerial skills

A coach’s job is to work on several levels: the first phase is to identify the area where the person is blocked, and to understand where the area of discomfort or stress lies.

Stressful situations also have negative repercussions on the way companies operate (staff turnover, lost working days, loss of production quality, demotivation, etc.).

The second phase is designed to support the individual in implementing better working techniques and increasing their self-confidence.

The benefits of coaching are numerous. After a few sessions, the benefits start to take hold. The person will be better able to locate areas of tension and triggers in their work.

The person will then notice that a new balance is being established. Coaching will enable them to acquire new know-how and interpersonal skills that they can then apply in their field of work.

How a coaching by Abildgaard works

  • Step 1

    1

    Discussion face 2 face

Our 1st contact: 1 hour phone call offered

  • Step 2

    2

    My proposal

After our initial contact by telephone, I will draw up a programme proposal and an agreement, and send it to you to discuss. It includes a financial approach.

  • Step 3

    3

Agreement of the programme by the trainee!

Once agreed, we set the first dates. You then manage the agenda.

  • Etape 4

    4

    Beginning of the sessions

Sessions start off virtual, then depending on how the situation evolves we may consider face-to-face sessions. The digital tool used will be Zoom, Meetings or Teams, depending on your preference.

  • Duration

    3 to 9 months

A minimum of 10 hours will be proposed to get a situation unblocked, with a meeting in the middle with you or your N+1. Sometimes more hours are required.

  • Methods

    Different approaches

I combine different approaches, such as personal development, intercultural understanding, analysis of your workplace and working methods, and understanding the impact on your personal life. Finally, I offer you a personalised programme.

Looking forward to meeting you!
